New-Port clothing was founded in 1979 as one of the first clothing stores in Nieuwpoort Bad which was then still a small tourist resort. The dunes were still omnipresent, the apartments and the countless holidaymakers came later.
New-port shoes was founded a few years later, it became a success with timeless brands such as Salamander, Sioux, Clarks and then supplemented with Italian brands such as Escada, Linea Wally's and Mima Venezia. .
Founders Roland De Clerck and wife Nelly Therssen always provided a unique mix of clothing and shoes.
Due to the good selections of collections and the hard work of the team, New-Port shoes and clothing became a household name, expansion was a must.
